Vitamin B12 is a nutrient that helps keep the body's nerve and blood cells healthy. Vitamin B12 helps prevent a type of anemia called megaloblastic anemia that makes people tired and weak. People lacking in the vitamin can experience low mood, fatigue, stress and insomnia, amongst other symptoms. If the body is deficient, after a B12 jab you will feel these symptoms start to ease within 24 hours. A loading dose is recommended consisting of 2 or 3 jabs per week for two weeks, then a maintenance jab every 2/3 months.
